UPdecors Commonly Used Furniture Wood
1. Rubber wood
Rubber wood is relatively affordable and is a wood with a relatively high cost-effectiveness. It is mainly used for carving and the inner frames of some sofas and chairs. It is used for carving mainly because rubber wood is relatively soft, and the carving effect will be more three-dimensional, and the price is relatively affordable. Of course, some high-end customers will choose precious woods such as beech or mahogany.
2. 0ak
2.1.White Oak
Light to medium brown in color, with distinct textures, hard texture, and wear resistance, it is often used to make high-end tables, chairs, cabinets and other furniture.
2.2.Red Oak
The heartwood is light reddish brown to reddish brown, the sapwood is light yellowish brown, with beautiful wood grain and good machining performance.
3.Walnut
3.1.Black Walnut
It is a high-grade wood, usually painted with varnish. The authentic North American black walnut is very rare and expensive. There are many products on the market that use walnut as black
walnut.
3.2.common Walnut
It is slightly lighter in color, fine in texture, and stable, and is also used to make various types of
high-end furniture. Walnut is widely distributed, including Europe and Asia.
4.Birch
White to light reddish brown, straight, shiny, hard texture, often used to make multi-layer boards and some modern style furniture.
UPdecors mostly uses this wood for the inner frame of sofa chairs
5.Beech
Soft color, clear texture, uniform and hard texture, good processing performance, is a common wood for making traditional and modern furniture. For relatively fine wooden products (such as chair legs, sofa legs, cabinet legs, relatively fine heterogeneous solid wood, etc.), it is recommended to use beech.
6.Teak
Color ranges from golden to dark brown, rich in oil, can resist decay and insect pests, extremely stable, often used for outdoor furniture and high-end indoor furniture.
Solid Wood
Used for the main frame. We have all kind of solid wood and we make according to our project requirements
Plywood
In high-end furniture, except for the main frame, other places basically use plywood. Plywood has high strength, is not easy to deform, and has strong load-bearing capacity. The disadvantage is that as shown in the figure, if it is a plywood, if it needs to be grooved or machine-carved, the plywood will appear granular and will not be smooth after painting.
MDF
Used for furniture with curves, or the position where the door panel needs to be carved. The price is cheaper than plywood. The disadvantage is that it is not moisture-proof and durable. The advantage is that it is relatively smooth and flat.
Particleboard
Particleboard is not used in home furniture. Particleboard is mostly used for low-end furniture or office furniture. UPdecors furniture wont use this kind of wooden for villa project.
